DIRECT SPEECH AND INDIRECT SPEECH

Direct Speech merupakan cara untuk melaporkan apa yang orang telah katakan atau tulis, berupa pernyataan, pertanyaan, atau ucapan lainnya, dengan mengutip persis perkataannya. Sebaliknya pada Indirect Speech, perkataan disampaikan dengan mengubah formatnya agar menjadi lebih jelas, alami, dan efisien bagi pendengarnya. 

Direct speech dilingkupi Quotation Marks (” “). Selain itu, attribution ( asked, says, said, yelled, shouted, replied, ordered) sering juga menyertai direct speech.

She said,”  i work in Industry of broadcasting.”	She said that she worked in Industry of Broadcasting
He told his manager,”i have new company.”	He told his friend that he had a new car
She said,” i will invest my money to that Krakatau Steel.”	She said (that) she  would invest my money to that Krakatau Steel
He said,” save your money in the Mandiri Bank.”	He told me to save my money in the Mandiri Bank
“Should i see the Investor Tomorrow? ” asked Ilham.	Ilham asked if he should see the Investor the following day.
